The MPD–2PH is a smart two-phase motor protection relay designed to protect electric motors and pumps against overload, dry run, and voltage faults.
It provides full digital monitoring, adjustable parameters, and automatic restart functions for reliable and efficient operation.
Overload Protection:
Protects the motor from excessive current. The relay trips when the current exceeds the set limit for the preset trip time, preventing motor overheating and coil damage.
Dry Run Protection:
Detects under-current condition when the pump runs without load or water. Automatically stops the motor and restarts after a defined delay to avoid continuous dry operation.
High Voltage Protection:
Trips the motor when line voltage rises above the safe limit. Prevents insulation damage and motor burnout. Protection can be enabled or disabled.
Low Voltage Protection:
Stops the motor when supply voltage drops below the minimum setting to avoid high current draw during undervoltage.
Trip Time Adjustment:
Allows setting of independent trip delay for overload and dry run conditions. Helps reduce false tripping caused by temporary voltage or load changes.
Cycle Time & Power ON Delay:
Cycle time defines the ON–OFF interval between motor operations, and power ON delay ensures safe startup after power restoration. Both functions are adjustable and active in Auto Mode.
OFF Time Setting:
Sets delay before the motor restarts after a trip, allowing voltage to stabilize. Useful for smooth automatic operation.
Memory Save Function:
All parameters are saved in non-volatile memory. Device automatically restores previous settings after power failure.
Dual Relay Output:
Equipped with two relays — one for main motor control and another for auxiliary use. Relay-2 timing is individually programmable.
Tank Level Control:
Upper tank full and lower tank empty sensors stop or prevent motor operation based on water level. Both features can be enabled or disabled.
Front Push Button Control:
Manual ON/OFF switch provided on front panel. Function can be disabled through settings for secured auto operation.
Password Protection:
Prevents unauthorized parameter changes, ensuring safety and consistency of motor operation.
